September is National Recovery Month, and we want to share the message that recovery is real. Throughout the month, RAD is holding events to celebrate the gains made by those in recovery and educate our community on substance use treatments and mental health services.
Together we can break the stigma and enable those with a mental and/or substance use disorders to live healthy and rewarding lives!
Walk for Recovery
SEPTEMBER 11 FROM 1 - 7 PM
LEIF ERICKSON PARK, DULUTH, MN
Join us for our annual Walk for Recovery! Beyond the walk, there will be food, music and a chance to connect with the community. The event is free and all are welcome.
1 PM - Welcome and check in for the walk
2 PM - Recovery walk begins
3 PM - Fun, food, community & recovery speakers
5 to 7 PM - Recovery concert in the park
Month-Long Awareness Contest
Snap a picture of yourself in your Walk for Recovery t-shirt, your recovery yard sign or share your own recovery story tagging Recovery Alliance Duluth on Facebook or Instagram. Each time you submit a post you will be entered for a weekly drawing for a $250 Visa gift card. We will also do a grand prize drawing at the end month of all submissions for a Visa gift card of $500. Feel free to post as many times a you like.

Duluth Street Art Initiative
The Duluth Art Initiate is inviting community members to participate in creating a public art installation in the alley of the 100 block of W Superior St. in downtown Duluth. Visit duluthstreetart.org for more information.
St. Louis Co. Recovery Community Workgroup will have s'mores, games, snacks, and loads of fun at Lincoln Park (25th Ave W & 5th St) from 5 to 7 PM.
Recovery in the Park
Free food, games and fun at Olcott Park in Virginia, MN from 1 to 3 PM.
Concert for Recovery
Enjoy live music from Big Wave Dave & the Ripples, Virgil Caine, South of Superior, and A Band Called Truman at the DECC's new outdoor venue along Harbor Drive from 3 to 9 PM. Visit duluthbethel.org for more information.
Recovery Month will be chalked full of fun ways to support recovery. In addition to different events, come out and support these local business as they support the recovery community! RAD will have a table at each location during the days/times listed below for each business. A percentage of the proceeds made on each day will be donated to Recovery Alliance Duluth.
